Duration: March 2020- ongoing

Contract Value - £1million per annum

Sanper Construction LTD is a proud reactive labour service provider to the MOJ facilities management team, Gov Facilities Service Limited, Salisbury group and private healthcare providers.

Across the South of England, within our Gov Facilities Service Limited commitment, we have operations at 15 of their sites with an average of 40 operatives spread across the area.

We currently have 2 separate reactive teams working across multiple Imperial College of London campuses.

Across our partnership sites, we supply a variety of trades, in all positions from labourers to Supervisors and everything in between.

Depending on the site requirements, we provide operatives on a short- or long-term basis, to work alongside their direct labour operatives, or as a self- contained, self-managed team.

Sanper ‘Core Values’ are an integral part of our ways of working, particularly within our reactive labour teams. We pride ourselves on providing trustworthy, value-for-money service, focusing heavily on getting the job done correctly on the first visit.

Quality

We have an average 90% first-time fix rate with a low recall rate. We fully understand that for our clients to see value for money, the first-time fix is a big driver. A large factor when looking at first-time fix rates is having the right stock on-site and available to our operatives. We can produce weekly reports highlighting the most regularly used parts. From these reports, we make recommendations on stock replenishment to ensure we have the right parts for the assigned tasks to maintain our first-time fix driver.

Trust

Within our recruitment process, we ensure we have the right people working for us that align culturally withing our work ethical and core values. As well as our face-to- face interview process, we put all our staff through an initial DBS check before an enrolment into the enhanced level 1 SSCL vetting clearance can proceed. Counter- Terrorism Checks can be carried out if this the necessary criteria for the highest security establishments.

Health and Safety / Onboarding

All of our operatives go through the Sanper Company Induction. Within the induction, we cover the core ways of working, as well as a range of other topics from Asbestos and awareness, COSHH and Work specific toolbox talks. Each operative is issued with a PPE

pack containing Gloves, a Sanper Hi-vis jacket, goggles and a bump cap. We then carry out an every-use inspection to ensure we maintain the highest of standards within our protection equipment usage.

Using the right people for the right job is very important, we invest heavily in training to ensure our staff are fully qualified for the task at hand, whether that be IPAF or MEWP qualifications, our engineers perform tasks on towers or working off Mobile Elevating Work platforms all with the correct qualification tickets.

Our supervisors being SMSTS qualified means they are fully aware of any potential unforeseen risks when management isn’t attending the working site.

We are proud to have a positive reporting culture when it comes to near misses and incidents. We understand that if an unsafe situation is identified it must be reported and dealt wit promptly to ensure the safety of our teams.

Within our Reactive labour commitments, there are multiple day-to-day challenges that are office and on-site supervisors' teams must tackle. Providing field-based teams is historically difficult to manage due to the geographical constraints within our committed coverage. We must rely on regular catch-up calls with our operatives daily and keep in touch with weekly management site visits to stay in touch with our teams and on-site clients.

Our ever-growing vetted operative teams and working culture has helped us integrate seamlessly into the on-site management and work teams. Providing our clients with a reliable resolution when backfilling positions or additional funding from stakeholders becomes available for new reactive requests. We are constantly looking to add further clients to this module and have the operative and management capabilities to add an additional 25% to our 2022 turnover of just over £1 million within reactive labour requests.
